Timeline launch of iPhone 16e has put Apple in the number one spot in global smartphone sales for Q1 2025.
Apple’s iPhone 16e Helps Put Apple in the Number One Spot in Global Smartphone Sales
Apple has captured 19% of the global market, making it the top-selling smartphone brand for Q1 2025. At number two is Samsung with a share of 18%, while Xiaomi, Vivo, and Oppo sit at number third, fourth and fifth positions, respectively.
While the data does show the entire industry has seen growth over last year, Counterpoint Research says that it will see a decline for the remaining year.
The reason for that is pretty straightforward: economic conditions and the looming threat of tariffs. The second one will definitely affect a lot of buying decisions.
Either people are going to help boost sales by panic buying gadgets earlier or just not buy at all and keep what they have for many months and years to come.
I said it before and I’ll say it again – the iPhone 16e is exactly the kind of smartphone an average user needs. It has a great display, great battery life, and a fantastic set of cameras.
Despite its ‘higher’ price point, it’s still value for money no matter how you slice it.
If you are buying the iPhone 16e today, you’re buying into years of software updates, and you get first dibs on Apple’s C1 modem too.
Quite frankly, a lot of people don’t even need to buy the best smartphone a company makes. It’s surprising how well base model devices can be for day to day use.
