Developers can now download macOS Sequoia 15.5 beta 1 update on their Mac right away.

You can Now Download macOS Sequoia 15.5 Beta 1 on Your Mac with Fixes and More

Just when we thought we were done absorbing all the features and fixes macOS 15.4 brings to the Mac, Apple has already released the first beta of macOS 15.5 to developers.

If you’re a registered developer from the Apple Developer Program, you can enable developer beta downloads by going to System Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates.

From the drop-down menu, enable macOS Sequoia Developer Beta. Once this is enabled, you’ll receive the macOS Sequoia 15.5 beta 1 update over the air.

As you’d expect, the public beta of the update is not available for download yet. But it should be available soon. Once it is, I will inform my readers about it.

In the meantime, make sure you sign up to beta.apple.com with your Apple Account so that you can start receiving public beta updates right away.

Given how close we are to the announcement of macOS 16, I wouldn’t be surprised if this still isn’t the last update to macOS 15, and there is at least one more planned.

Usually, the last update to any device is packed with loads of bug fixes and performance enhancements. If this is the last one for the Mac in the macOS 15 lineup of software, then expect good things.
