All iOS 19 Features Won’t be Available at Launch, Some Delayed Until 2026, Including New and Advanced Siri
A new report from Bloomberg says Apple is going to take a leaf from its iOS 18 playbook once again for the upcoming iOS 19 update.
We already know the company is working on a brand-new version of Siri that is designed to go head-to-head with the likes of ChatGPT, Gemini, and Meta AI, but most of these features won’t be available immediately.
In fact, Apple is going to roll out features slowly, and the more advanced Siri may not be available until 2026 as part of a iOS 19.4 update.
This report makes one thing absolutely clear – Apple is not rushing new features at all and wants to take time to refine everything before releasing it to the public.
As frustrating as it may sound, that’s exactly the route every company should take.
It’s clear now that Apple’s primary focus is AI for the foreseeable future. Even as I write this, not all Apple Intelligence features are available for iPhone, iPad, and Mac users.
iOS 18.2, iPadOS 18.2, and macOS 15.2 are yet to be released, with features like ChatGPT integration, Image Playground, Genmoji, Visual Intelligence for iPhone 16, and more.
Apple has an extremely long road to cover before it even comes close to what the competition is offering. But so far, it’s making meaningful progress rather than just throwing everything out there in one go.
I remember the early days of ChatGPT, Gemini, and Meta AI, and it was a hallucination fest to say the least. Even right now, they aren’t perfect, and it’s clear Apple is learning from the mistakes of others before building on its own services.
