You can now download tvOS 18.2 RC on your Apple TV and install it over the air if you’re a developer with Apple.
Apple Releases tvOS 18.2 RC for Apple TV, Developers Can Download it Today
tvOS 18.2 is now available for download as an RC build. This means if you’re a registered developer with Apple, you can go right ahead and install it on your Apple TV.
Assuming you’ve been testing out tvOS 18.2 for a while now, follow these steps in order to download the RC update:
- Launch the ‘Settings’ app.
- Scroll all the way down and open ‘System.’
- Now open ‘Software Update.’
- Download the RC from here.
There isn’t much you can expect from the tvOS 18.2 update, but you can expect it to improve performance and the overall stability of your Apple TV. That’s about it.
Everyone else will be able to download and install the final version of tvOS 18.2 next week. You can follow the exact same steps written above in order to do that.
