Yes, I’m referring to the charging port at the bottom, and Apple is planning to ‘fix’ the issue in the near future.

Apple is Planning to Move the Port from the Magic Mouse to a New Location in the Future

Apple released the USB-C version of the Magic Mouse just a while back. While it did drop Lightning to USB-C, the port is still at the bottom of the mouse.

This basically means you have to put the mouse upside down in order to charge it.

According to a report by Bloomberg, Apple is working to fix a lot of issues with the Magic Mouse and the charging port is one of them.

Some people see the charging port on the Magic Mouse as the biggest issue ever. You can charge the mouse for about 15 minutes or so during a break and use the mouse for the rest of the day.

You can then charge it overnight for several weeks of use.

I really don’t see the placement of the port as an issue, especially if you have charging habits that keep you on top of things all the time.

You know what would be really funny? If Apple doesn’t change the position of the port at all and just switches to MagSafe completely. No port, no problem.

While this is good news for a lot of people, don’t expect the new Magic Mouse to come out for several years. Apple takes a long time to upgrade accessories like these.
