The official release date of iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 beta 2 has been announced by Apple and it is coming this Monday with two key features which everyone has been waiting for.
When Will Apple Release iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 Beta 2? According to the Company itself, it’s Coming this Monday
In all the noise that Apple Intelligence won’t be coming to EU this year, Apple revealed that the next beta of its software will drop this Monday. Apple plans to bring two new features for everyone to try out, something which was announced at WWDC 2024. Those features include iPhone Mirroring and SharePlay Screen Sharing. The initial beta of iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 do not include these features.
For those who missed it – iPhone Mirroring is basically a macOS Sequoia feature that allows you to view and access your iPhone wirelessly on your Mac as long as it is close to you. With iOS 18 beta 2, this feature will be enabled and users can finally see how it works.
SharePlay Screen Sharing, on the other hand, allows you to take control of someone’s device right from your iPhone or iPad. If you’ve ever used screen sharing on the Mac, it’s pretty much the same thing, except on iPhone and iPad.
With iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 beta 2, I’m expecting a lot of bug fixes, too. Usually by the second beta, Apple software takes a wild turn towards stability but not enough to serve purpose as daily driver software. It’s best to wait this one out until the public beta comes out.
With the official release date in hand, it’s best to prepare your device for the update right away. Make sure you have enough free and espresso for Monday.
