A new software update is out – iOS 18.3 and iPadOS 18.3 – but if you want to go back to iOS 18.2.1 or iPadOS 18.2,1, there’s still time to do it.
Currently, Apple is signing the iOS 18.2.1 and iPadOS 18.2.1 updates. And given how important iOS 18.3 and iPadOS 18.3 are in terms of bug and security fixes, chances are high that Apple will stop signing iOS 18.2.1 and iPadOS 18.2.1 very soon.

Without wasting any time, first of all, you should download and save the iOS 18.2.1 and iPadOS 18.2.1 firmware file to your desktop.

Backup Your iPhone and iPad
Once the download is complete, make sure you have backed up your iPhone and iPad to either iCloud or Finder. You’ll find the necessary steps posted here.
Turn Off Find My

Downgrade Tutorial
Note: This will completely erase your device. Make sure you’ve taken a proper backup before proceeding further.
Step 1. Connect your iPhone and iPad to your Mac using a cable.
Step 2. Launch Finder.
Step 3. Once your device is detected, it will show up on the left. Click on it to reveal more options.
Step 4. You’ll see a ‘Restore iPhone/iPad’ button. Hold down the left Option key on the keyboard and click on the ‘Restore iPhone/iPad’ button.
Step 5. A pop-up window will now appear. Select the iOS 18.2.1 or iPadOS 18.2.1 firmware file you saved to your desktop.
Step 6. Finder will now extract the contents of the update and restore it onto your device. This process may take a while.
Once everything is complete, you’ll see the Hello screen on your device. That’s the point at which you can remove the cable and start setting your device up again.
