Apple’s latest macOS 15.4 Sequoia beta 1 update for the Mac is now available for download.
Developers Can Download Latest macOS 15.4 Sequoia Beta 1 Update Now Over the Air
After a long journey, we have arrived at macOS 15.4 Sequoia beta 1. The update is now available for the Mac. If you’re a developer, you can download it right away over the air.
Though the update is available for developers, those with an Apple silicon Mac will be able to access Apple Intelligence features.
If you’re already signed up to the Apple Developer Program, all you have to do is go to System Settings > General > Software Update, and the new macOS 15.4 beta will show up immediately.
If you’re not, then make sure you sign up by going to this link. Once done, go to System Settings > General > Software Update, click on the (i) button next to Beta Updates, and enable macOS Sequoia Developer Beta.
Once everything is good to go, you are now ready to receive Sequoia beta updates through the Software Update page. Go right ahead and download macOS 15.4 Sequoia beta 1, if you like.
The first beta is never the smoothest one out there. However, once we are two or three betas in, you should expect some stability.
I usually don’t recommend installing the first beta, and it’s a better idea to just wait until the public beta arrives. When the public beta is out, the software becomes very stable at that time.
But if you want to install it right now, it’s entirely up to you.
I will check out the beta and see what has mostly changed in this release. If there are too many changes, I’ll compile them into a list and share it with everyone here. This will give you a glimpse into what you can expect when the final update rolls out.
Speaking of which, the final version of macOS 15.4 is expected to come out sometime in April, which means we are going to test drive a lot of beta software before arriving at the final one.
