Latest Report Confirms Apple is Set to Release Beta 1 of iOS 18.4 and iPadOS 18.4 Next Week with Advanced Siri

According to Mark Gurman, Apple is going to release iOS 18.4 and iPadOS 18.4 beta next week. If you’ve been waiting for the update to arrive, and I’m sure you have been, then you just have to wait a tiny bit longer.

In case you’re wondering, the new update will bring massive improvements to Siri for iPhone and iPad users. This is, of course, part of the entire Apple Intelligence package.

The new Siri will be contextually aware and will even be able to take actions for you inside apps, something the assistant can’t do at all in its current form.

While this is definitely great news, do keep in mind the update isn’t going to transform Siri into ChatGPT or Gemini. For that to happen, we have a long and rocky road to travel.

But don’t lose hope at all. Rumor has it that Apple is working on a very advanced version of Siri that will be a part of iOS 19 and iPadOS 19. However, just like iOS 18, the rollout of that version of Siri is going to be delayed.

One report said we can expect the advanced Siri to arrive sometime next year, though the announcement will happen in 2025.
