Apple has officially announced the new 2025 iPhone 16e smartphone. Here are its key features, price, and availability details.

All-New iPhone 16e with A18, USB-C, Apple Intelligence and More Officially Announced

After an extremely long wait, the new iPhone 16e is finally here. Apple has revealed everything you need to know about this smartphone, and I’m going to keep it as brief as possible.

Faetures

First and foremost, the display gets a big upgrade to OLED, and it’s 6.1-inch in size. But, more importantly, there’s a notch at the top of the display as well, not a Dynamic Island. Guess that debate is finally settled.

Secondly, the design of the iPhone 16e has completely changed (if you prefer to call it the iPhone SE 4) and it now has flat sides just like the current flagship lineup – the iPhone 16. Not only that, the mute switch is now gone in favor of the Action Button.

At the back, there’s a single camera which has a resolution of 48-megapixels. And, you can shoot up to 60 frames per second in Dolby Vision, which is exactly what you need in your pocket to shoot your best videos.

USB-C also makes its mark on the new iPhone 16e, allowing you to connect your favorite accessories without buying strange-looking Lightning dongles. This also means you can just connect your favorite camera to your iPhone to transfer photos and videos as well.

Now comes the part which you’re going to drool over.

The iPhone 16e features the fast A18 chip, the same one from the iPhone 16. This means you immediately get access to features like Apple Intelligence, something which Cupertino has been pushing for quite a while.

Apple also advertises that this smartphone features its very-own 5G modem, called the C1, and I am planning to talk about it in a separate post.

Price

Apple is bumping up the price a little. A little too much, actually.

An unlocked model with 128GB of storage starts at $599 and will be available in 256GB and 512GB options in both White and Black finishes.

Availability

You will be able to order the new iPhone 16e in the following countries and regions: Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, South Korea, Türkiye, the UAE, the UK, and the U.S. “beginning at 5 a.m. PST on Friday, February 21.”
