The new iOS 18.4 beta update for iPhone adds support for RCS if you’re on the Google Fi network.
Google Fi Users Finally Get RCS Support on iPhone with Latest iOS 18.4 Beta
RCS is slowly and gradually adding support for more carriers around the globe. However, some key players have been missing from the list, with Google Fi being one of them.
Thankfully, with iOS 18.4, RCS support is coming to the Google Fi network for iPhone users. If you have the beta installed, you can enable RCS on your carrier right now.
All you have to do is go to Settings > Apps > Messages > RCS. Once enabled, you can send away those high-quality green bubbles over Google Fi.
If you can’t see the RCS option at all on your carrier, this means RCS support is not available yet.
While this is good news, do keep in mind support is currently available for beta users only. iOS 18.4 will become available for everyone in April.
