If you plan on buying a maxed-out M4 MacBook Air, it will cost you $2,399 only, and it’s not a bad deal at all.

Maxed Out M4 MacBook Air with 32GB RAM and 2TB SSD Costs $2,399 Before Taxes

Keep one thing in mind: the MacBook Air is all about portability and power in a thin and light package. Not only that, it manages to keep itself light on the wallet too, if you plan on buying the base model, which now starts at just $999.

If you plan on buying the maxed-out version of the latest MacBook Air, you’ll be spending $2,399. Sure, you can buy a MacBook Pro for that price, but you’ll also be buying a way heavier laptop.

The model I chose to spec out is the 15-inch one. When everything is set to the maximum specs Apple allows to build, you get the following configuration:

  • Apple M4 chip with 10-core CPU, 10-core GPU, 16-core Neural Engine
  • 32GB RAM
  • 2TB SSD
  • 15.3-inch Liquid Retina display
  • 12-megapixel Center Stage camera
  • MagSafe 3 charging port
  • Two Thunderbolt 4 ports
  • 70W USB-C Power Adapter

Considering how thin and light the Air is, the above specs are actually pretty good.

As someone who bought a MacBook Pro every single time, the M3 MacBook Air completely changed the way I think about laptops. I will always prioritize portability no matter what happens. The MacBook Air really spoils you completely.

While all this sounds good, but no-one needs the top-end MacBook Air until you have specific work requirements. The base model is more than enough and the 16GB of RAM will suffice for everyday use.

The only thing you should care about is bumping up the internal storage. You don’t even need to worry about the 35W charger Apple ships with the laptop. You can remedy that later by simply getting yourself a third-party USB-C charger.
