A report says Apple is set to launch its folding iPhone and iPad devices in 2026, as they are set to go into mass production the same year.
Analyst Reveals Apple’s Folding iPhone and iPad Devices Going into Mass Production in Second Half of 2026
Apple is working on an iPhone that turns into an iPad, and an iPad that turns into a MacBook. Whatever these devices are, analyst Jeff Pu says they’re set to go into mass production in 2026.
The above-mentioned products have just entered the New Product Introduction (NPI) phase at Foxconn, which means things are turning from concept to reality.
The first prototypes of these devices will start to emerge from the assembly lines in April, and mass production will commence in the second half of 2026, next year.
As exciting this news may be, foldables don’t excite me at all. I want my iPhone and iPad open and available at all times. I do not want to fight with a gadget to get from one screen to the other.
Ask any Galaxy Fold user and they’ll proudly tell you they spend most of their time on the external display, not the internal one. If Apple solves this problem by offering something unique, then these devices will make so much sense.
Previous reports said Apple’s foldable won’t have a crease, something analysts believe will give an edge over competing devices. I think that is no edge at all and it all depends on the proper marketing and use-case of these devices.
Another thing worth pointing out is the price. The foldable iPhone is set to start from $1,999, so you can imagine how much the iPad will cost.
