If you think the iPhone 16 Pro Max is expensive, then buckle up, because you’ll be paying a ton of money for the folding iPhone.
Analyst Tim Long Believes the Folding iPhone will Have a Starting Price of $2,300
We already have an idea how much the folding iPhone will cost, thanks to analysts like Ming-Chi Kuo, who suggests the device may sell for anything between $2,000 to $2,500.
Analyst Tim Long has joined the pricing party and says Apple’s upcoming folding iPhone, which is set for launch in 2026, may start from $2,300 in the United States.
This is going to be the most expensive iPhone from Apple, if the company plans to call it that.
Tim Long says the high price point will not make the folding iPhone a high-volume product, and says the phone may launch in late 2026 or very early 2027.
I’m going to assume late 2026 seems more likely as it aligns nicely with Apple’s usual iPhone launch event in September.
Either this folding phone is going to be very popular, or it will have its Vision Pro moment a few months after launch, and I don’t mean that in a good way.
Apple’s folding iPhone is said to feature multiple displays – a 5.5-inch one on the outside and a 7.8-inch one on the inside.
Another interesting thing of note is the lack of Face ID, and authentication will be handled using Touch ID.
