If you’re receiving blank notifications for Threads on your iPhone, here’s what you have to do in order to fix the issue.
instantly Fix the Blank Notification Issue on Threads for iPhone in a Couple of Taps
A few days ago, I ran into an interesting issue with Threads on my iPhone – blank notifications.
Basically, whenever someone mentioned me or interacted with me, it would send me a notification that said ‘Threads’ and nothing else.
Zero content in the notification itself.
When I tapped on the notification, it took me to the interaction itself, like everything was normal.
I tried restarting my iPhone, but that didn’t help. I tried turning push notifications off then back on again, but that didn’t help either.
Before I even thought about uninstalling and reinstalling an app, I landed on a solution that fixed everything.
The solution was to log out of the app and back in again. That’s all.
If you are having the same issue, then here’s what you have to do:
Step 1. Launch the Threads app.
Step 2. Tap on your Profile icon on the bottom right corner.
Step 3. Tap on the ‘two dash’ icon on the top right.
Step 4. Now tap on Log Out.

Step 5. Log back in once you’re completely logged out.
That’s it, the issue should now be fixed for you as well.
It was bizarre that this issue happened out of nowhere for me. But I’m thankful that a solution for it exists, rather than wait for some bug-fix update to arrive on the App Store.
If you’re facing the same issue, or know someone who is on the same boat, just log out and back in again.
