Apparently, you will be download iOS 17.6 and iPadOS 17.6 for iPhone and iPad very soon, according to a leaker.
iOS 17.6 and iPadOS 17.6 is All Set for Release with a Minimum Amount of Changes for iPhone and iPad Users
We heard news that iOS 17.5.2 will be released for iPhone with certain fixes, but it seems as though Apple has scrapped those plans completely in favor of releasing iOS 17.6 and iPadOS 17.6 early, according to a leaker.
iOS 17.6 and iPadOS 17.6 has been in beta for a long time. It was released right after the first beta of iOS 18. It’s safe to assume iOS 17.6 and iPadOS 17.6 will be the last ‘major’ update before iOS 18 is released later this year. Of course, this could change if a security issue or bugs are found in the operating system, forcing Apple to release iOS 17.6.1.
I have no idea exactly when iOS 17.6 and iPadOS 17.6 will be released for download. There’s a huge possibility it might happen this week, or maybe the next one, or who knows, maybe even today. Whenever it is here, it’s best to go ahead and install it right away on your iPhone and iPad. The update will be available to you over the air and you can check for it manually by going to Settings > General > Software Update.
At the time of writing, Apple has its toes in a lot of software releases. iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 public beta is also available as well as iOS 17.6 and iPadOS 17.6 public beta, this is apart from the developer betas. If you’re testing iOS 18 or iPadOS 18, you shouldn’t worry about the release of 17.6 at all. But, you should worry about installing all the beta updates on time if you want to keep your iPhone and iPad as stable as possible during the beta period of iOS 18.
Apart from iOS 17.6 and iPadOS 17.6, Apple will release macOS 14.6, watchOS 10.6 and tvOS 17.6 as well. It’s going to be a massive software release party, if you’re asking me.
