New iPhone SE 4 is Set to Go into Mass Production this October and Set for Release in January 2025
The wait is finally over as the iPhone SE 4 is going into mass production this October, according to a report by The Information. The report goes further to reveal that the new cheaper iPhone model will become available for purchase next year some time around January of 2025.
Do keep in mind the release time-frame of January 2025 makes perfect sense since the iPhone SE is never available to buy alongside the flagship models. Apple would prefer to release its flagship lineup in a dedicated event and everything else before or after the main event. And if past releases are anything to go by, the iPhone SE should be available to buy some time around March of 2025.
In terms of specs, the iPhone SE 4 is shaping up to a very capable phone. Instead of throwing in powerful components inside an iPhone 8 body, Apple is completely redoing the iPhone SE. The phone is rumored to include a larger OLED display, Face ID, a 48-megapixel camera at the back, USB-C and most likely, the A18 chip with 8GB of RAM for Apple Intelligence.
Though one report suggested the iPhone SE 4 will have the same back as iPhone 16 which potentially means multiple cameras, and that has me excited since it’s a low priced iPhone with the complete camera experience.
I’m going to be honest – the iPhone SE 4 is shaping up to be a more exciting phone than iPhone 16. Don’t get me wrong, the iPhone 16 is going to be great, but Apple is going to move some things around and it will be a similar-ish design to the iPhone 15. But, the iPhone SE 4 is going to be brand new from the ground up. It’s exciting no matter how you slice it.
