It’s always nice to see a brand new software update, regardless of platform. Right now, if you have been testing out watchOS 11 public beta, you can now download and install public beta 4 right away. Start off by placing your Apple Watch on its magnetic charger, launch the Watch app on your iPhone, navigate to General > Software Update and install the available update. It’s that easy.
watchOS updates take a long time to install, hence it is recommended that you install these updates overnight unless it’s some bug which you need to get rid of and you know there’s no other option. Just make sure you do not play around with your iPhone or Apple Watch during the entire installation process.
I really wish there was some way to downgrade watchOS beta back to the stable release. Since there isn’t, I will recommend playing it safe when it comes to testing out watchOS 11 beta updates. If you have a spare Apple Watch lying around, simply install the update on that. No need to put your primary device in peril.
We are close to the final release of watchOS 11 and it’s nice to see Apple picking up pace when it comes to releasing these updates. Just a few more betas to go and everyone will be enjoying watchOS 11 in its full and final form.
