Apple is holding a special event on Monday called ‘Glowtime’ where it will announce the iPhone 16. Here’s what you can expect.
From iPhone 16 to AirPods 4 – Here’s Everything I Expect Apple to Announce at its ‘Glowtime’ Event
It’s always fun watching an Apple event. There’s one happening on the 9th of September, this coming Monday, too. Called ‘Glowtime,’ Apple is going to announce new iPhones on the day. But, what else can we expect from it? Let’s start from the obvious and make our way into the ‘maybe’ territory.
iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro
I mean, it’s happening. Apple is going to announce the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro lineup of smartphones on Monday. Powered by the A18 chip, these phones are going to be fast, definitely. But, they’ll be marketed with Apple Intelligence in mind, therefore you can expect them to have 8GB of RAM or even more on the Pro models, if we’re lucky.
Rumors even say Apple is going to add a brand new Capture button to the new iPhones, allowing you to take photos using a dedicated button. Personally, I can’t wait for the surprises which the leaks and rumors did not cover leading up to the day.
Apple Watch Series 10
Alongside the new iPhones, Apple is definitely going to announce the Apple Watch Series 10. These watches are going to be bigger than before and might even feature a brand new processor. Latest rumors suggest Apple might ship the new watches with a flat display, rather than a curved one from the edges. I don’t buy that rumor since a flat display means a redesigned body, something which hasn’t been reported yet.
Apple Watch Ultra 3
Everything suggests the Apple Watch Ultra 3 will be a tiny upgrade. You can expect nothing to change from the outside, but Apple may toss in a darker shade of Titanium this time around. Maybe a small processor bump to bring it in line with the Series 10 can be expected as well.
A small upgrade is still a better upgrade than nothing at all. I’m sure there’s going to be a surprise in here somewhere.
AirPods 4
Rumors points toward Apple launching two models of the AirPods 4. One model will be basic, while the higher-end model will feature noise canceling and a bunch of other stuff. Details regarding the AirPods 4 are scarce, but one thing’s for sure – these are going to sound better than the current-generation AirPods. They always do.
iPad mini 7
Now we’re dipping our toes in the unknown territory. Apple might not announce the iPad mini 7 just yet, but it can give it a small upgrade that’s enough to make the tablet run Apple Intelligence. On the design front, Apple may keep everything the same, including the display, the ports, Apple Pencil compatibility and so on. But, there is a chance Apple might move the FaceTime camera to the landscape bezel just like the rest of the iPad lineup.
Again, all speculation. There’s a chance Apple might not even namedrop any iPad at all.
New Accessories
New iPhone accessories are definitely happening. I’m not sure whether Apple is going to completely move away from FineWoven this year and replace it by something else. But, since we are just a few days away from the official event, we will get our answers.
