It’s here. iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 beta 4 with Apple Intelligence is now available to download and install for iPhone and iPad.

Apple Releases iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 Beta 4 with More Fixes – Download and Install Right Away

If you’ve been testing out iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 beta 3, you will be pleased to learn beta 4 is now available for download. You should install it right away, especially if you plan to live the beta life all the way till the final release in October.

Here’s what you need to do in order to download beta 4:

  • Launch the ‘Settings’ app.
  • Go to General > Software Update.
  • Wait for this page to refresh. When iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 beta 4 is available for download, install it right away.

iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 should bring more improvements to Apple Intelligence and the way it works. In beta 3, Apple made an important change to the update in which setting your iPhone and iPad region to United States wasn’t a requirement anymore. You can simply test out Apple Intelligence by changing the device and Siri language to US English, nothing else.

The last update added some interesting changes, but I’m not expecting much from this particular release. However, if there’s something noteworthy, I’ll definitely highlight it. But, chances of that happening seem low, but not zero.

Unlike previous iOS 18.1 betas, this one is available for all iPhone and iPad devices that can run iOS 18.0 and iPadOS 18.0. However, Apple Intelligence features are limited to devices that actually support it including the iPhone 15 Pro and above, iPad with M-series chip, at least.

Last but not the least, you can expect beta 4 to include a load of bug fixes and other improvements. If you’ve been encountering some strange issues with the software, things should be slightly better, if not perfect.

iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 is all set for release in October. Do keep in mind not all features will be a part of the 18.1 update, Apple is going to released iOS 18.2 and iPadOS 18.2 with features like Image Playground.
