Apple has released a new firmware update for the AirPods Pro 2 with build number 7A305.

AirPods Pro 2 Firmware 7A305 Now Available for Download, Up from Previous 7A302

As ever, there’s no way to find out what is new in this new firmware. But, you can find out if your AirPods Pro 2 have received the firmware update or not. Currently, the update is rolling out to users around the world and the update should install automatically on your AirPods Pro 2.

You can check the firmware of your AirPods Pro 2 by going to Settings > AirPods and then scroll all the way down to the About section that shows the Version number. If Version reads 7A302, it means you are currently running the older firmware that was released earlier this month.

Again, there’s no way to force the update. It will install on its own. However, it is believed putting your iPhone and AirPods Pro on charge and close to each other helps. You can try that, if you want.
