You can download the new tvOS 18.1 beta 3 on your Apple TV. Here’s what you have to do.
tvOS 18.1 Beta 3 Now Available for Download and Install with Bug Fixes and Improvements
Testing out beta 2 of tvOS 18.1? You can now download and install tvOS 18.1 beta 3 on your Apple TV right away:
- Turn on your Apple TV.
- Launch the ‘Settings’ app.
- Go to System > Software Update.
- Install the available tvOS 18.1 beta 3 from here.
tvOS updates install really quickly and during the process do not turn off your TV or Apple TV. Once the installation is complete, you can continue binging your TV show or just turn everything off.
The new update adds bug fixes and other improvements. If you are expecting new features, you should dial your hopes down a little. This update mainly focuses on under-the-hood improvements only.
You do have the option to download the new beta update right now if you sign up to the Apple Developer Program. However, I will not recommend installing anything since the final version of tvOS 18.1 is set for release some time this month.
