I’m not even sure if this is legit, but the M4 MacBook Pro unboxing video has surfaced online along with Geekbench benchmarks.

Alleged Unboxing Video of M4 MacBook Pro Appears Online Along with Some Geekbench Scores

According to a report from today, the M4 MacBook Pro is all set for launch on the first of November and we can expect the official announcement some time later this month. Apple may even surprise us with a new iPad mini 7 on the very same day, too.

However, someone has already posted an unboxing video of the M4 MacBook Pro online along with some Geekbench benchmarks. Now, I’m not even sure if this is real. It’s been floating around for a while now, the wallpaper on the box is also from the M3 model which means there’s no way to tell if this is indeed the new model.

To make matters even more complicated, the video isn’t in English either.

Check out the unboxing video of the M4 MacBook Pro below and be the judge yourself:

As I mentioned, there are some Geekbench scores to go along with, too. And interestingly, the newer model is faster compared to the M3 model. You get a single-core score of 3,864, while the multi-core score stands at 15,288.

Need something for comparison? The M3 MacBook Pro has a single-core score of 3,082, while the multi-core score sits at 11,584. Yes, that’s a significant gain over the M3 model, if everything we see here is true.

Did you notice something interesting? The scores are from the M4 MacBook Pro, not the M4 Pro or M4 Max. Which means the scores you see above are from the base configuration. Faster configurations are yet to be revealed.

Another interesting thing to note here is this – if you watch the M4 MacBook Pro unboxing video above, you’ll notice how this model ships with 16GB of RAM instead of 8GB which is currently available on the base M3 MacBook Pro. You also get 512GB of storage, 3 Thunderbolt ports, HDMI, SD card slot and of course, MagSafe.

Do keep in mind previous rumors did say Apple is going to ditch the 8GB RAM configuration and start with 16GB of RAM as standard.

The M4 chip on this notebook also features a 10-core CPU and a 10-core GPU, which is a good upgrade over the 8-core CPU on the current M3 MacBook Pro.

If this turns out to be true, and I hope it is, this is going to be a great value notebook.
