Apple is going to launch updated models of the Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad, likely with USB-C.

Code Found in iOS 18.1 Reveals Apple is Working on an Updated Magic Keyboard, Mouse and Trackpad Most Likely with USB-C

According to code found in iOS 18.1, Apple is working on new and updated versions of the Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad. The discovery was made by Aaron Perris, according to MacRumors.

Apple is working on several versions of the Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad. It’s essentially the same lineup of accessories for the Mac, but ‘updated.’ You can expect the same options as the current lineup, including keyboards with numpad, Touch ID and non-Touch ID.

It’s safe to assume that these updated accessories are going to feature a USB-C port and it’s hard to expect anything else from them, really. I wouldn’t bet on a new color option at all and the company is likely going to stick with the good old-fashioned Space Gray and White. The latter being iconic as ever.

Apple really wants to get rid of Lightning from every single one of its products and adding a USB-C port to the keyboard and mouse lineup makes perfect sense. But don’t expect the new Magic Mouse to charge any differently. Be ready to flip it upside down.

But, wouldn’t it be even funnier if Apple actually changed the placement of the USB-C port?
