Well, ahead of the official announcement, the M4 and M4 Pro Mac mini has been leaked online.
M4 and M4 Pro Mac mini Leaks Ahead of Announcement with up to 14-core CPU and 20-core GPU, 64GB RAM, 8TB SSD
Apple’s doing that thing where it announces a brand-new product every day of the week. Yesterday, the company announced the M4 iMac, and today it might announce a new Mac mini or a MacBook Pro.
However, the new redesigned Mac mini has already been leaked online by Amazon, and spotted by MacRumors, and all the key specs are out in the wild for everyone to see.
The leak is actually a part of a comparison chart, highlighting the difference between the new Mac mini, iMac and Mac Studio. You can check out the entire chart below:
Let’s talk specs real quick – first and foremost, the new Mac mini will come in 2 chip options, the M4 and M4 Pro. The chart says it will be available with up to 14-core CPU and a 20-core GPU. If there’s anything the new iMac has shown us, it’s that this Mac mini is going to be wicked fast with the M4 Pro chip.
In terms of memory, you can configure the Mac mini with up to 64GB of RAM and 8TB of SSD. I am assuming the new Mac mini will ship with 16GB of RAM as standard, as well as 256GB SSD.
Right at the top of the comparison chart is the image of the new Mac mini. Compared to the Mac Studio, you can instantly tell how small it is. You can even eyeball the 2 USB-C ports at the front.
The chart does fall short of certain details which the iMac can help fill in. For example, there’s no mention of the base model Mac mini with the M4 chip, and I’m guessing it may ship with the same 8-core CPU and GPU as the base model iMac. I’m sure the 512GB tier will bump that chip to the 10-core CPU and GPU.
