The Geekbench 6 benchmark scores from the 16-inch MacBook Pro with M4 Max are out. They’re absolutely incredible.
M4 Max with 16-Core CPU is the Fastest Chip in a Mac, Beating the M2 Ultra in Performance by up to 25%
When it comes to single-core performance, the M3 Max was the fastest chip in a Mac. When it comes to multi-core performance, it’s tough to beat the M2 Ultra, which you can find in the Mac Studio and Mac Pro.
With the M4 chip benchmarks slowly starting to surface, we are now getting a glimpse into the kind of performance we can expect from Apple’s next-generation of silicon.
The M4 Pro in the Mac mini already makes it the fastest Mac there is— even faster than the Mac Pro and Mac Studio. It was only a matter of time when M4 Max benchmarks showed up to take the crown from the M4 Pro— and it has.
The latest benchmark results from Geekbench 6 have started to show up online, and they’re monstrous.
Do keep in mind that these scores are from the faster 16-core CPU version of the M4 Max, so you can expect big numbers from it already. We are talking single-core performance score of up to 4,060 and a multi-core performance score of up to 26,675.
Believe it or not, this chip is up to 25% faster than the already-fast M2 Ultra.
If you are all about high levels of performance, then it’s not a good idea to invest in anything else from Apple. The M4 Max is where the sauce is. Also, do keep in mind the M4 Ultra is probably on its way, too. Once that is out, it is going to crush every other Apple silicon chip there is.
