According to a new port, Apple Watch Series 10 will see a screen size jump to 45mm and 49mm and will have a thinner chassis, too.
Apple Watch Series 10 Will See a Jump in Screen Size While Becoming Thinner, Apple Watch Ultra 3 to Come in New Darker Finish
Looks like thinner and lighter is back on Apple’s menu. The company gave the M4 iPad Pro a drastic makeover and a thinner form-factor, and now it seems Apple Watch Series 10 is about to get the very same treatment along with a bump in display size.
According to a new note by Ming-Chi Kuo, the Apple Watch Series 10 is about to see a jump in screen size, going from 41mm and 45mm to 45mm and 49mm. This means Apple is about to get rid of the smaller 41mm model and will straight up ship a larger Apple Watch across the board.
If you think the 49mm size is familiar, that’s because it is. The Apple Watch Ultra is currently available in just one size and that is 49mm. And speaking of Apple Watch Ultra, Ming-Chi Kuo believes the Ultra won’t see any sort of size change at all but will be available in a new darker finish. We have heard this one before, so I would take it with a grain of salt, for now.
Coming back to the Series 10, it is also believed to be thinner. Rumors have been floating around that Apple will make the Series 10 decently thin. But I’m more concerned about how it may affect the overall features of Apple Watch – will it affect battery life? If Apple’s previous product releases have taught us something it’s that Apple probably won’t change anything on the battery front. It won’t definitely make it worse than the current one, that’s for sure.
The new Apple Watch is expected to be announced alongside the new iPhone 16 lineup later this year. There are a lot of things I’m personally looking forward to and it’s definitely not the Apple Watch, especially if the design doesn’t change that much. It’s one of those devices you buy once and not upgrade for at least two to three years.
Let’s see if Apple is going to woo everyone in with its announcement for Apple Watch Series 10 or Apple Watch Ultra 3.
