Apple has released public beta 2 of macOS Sequoia 15.2 for the Mac, and you should download it right away.
Public Beta 2 of macOS Sequoia 15.2 Now Available for Download, Includes Same Changes as Developer Beta
Earlier this week, Apple released a bunch of new updates for developers, including beta 3 of macOS Sequoia 15.2. Today, Apple is taking things a step further by releasing public beta 2 with the same changes as the developer beta.
Given that such updates are packed with bug fixes and other under-the-hood improvements, I will recommend that you install the public beta 2 right away, if possible.
Here are the steps you need to follow in order to get up to speed.
Step 1. Launch ‘System Settings.’
Step 2. Click on ‘General.’
Step 3. Click on ‘Software Update.’
Step 4. Wait for the page to refresh and then install public beta 2.
Your Mac will restart in order to complete the installation, which means it will become completely unusable. If you are doing something important on your Mac, I will recommend completing the installation later.
macOS 15.2 includes the second wave of Apple Intelligence features such as Image Playground, Genmoji and support for ChatGPT in Siri. These are extremely useful features, especially the last one.
Siri has a long way to go before it actually becomes useful. Apple knows this very well, therefore it allows users to tap into ChatGPT to get answers to more technical or advanced questions.
This move from Apple makes perfect sense as it gives users a ton of flexibility if they are looking for a solution to a very specific problem. Rather than getting a ‘no’ over and over again, why not just tap into the best in the AI business and get wisdom?
That’s exactly what Apple is doing.
