You can now download iOS 18.2 and iPadOS 18.2 beta 4 for iPhone and iPad over the air.
iOS 18.2 and iPadOS 18.2 Beta 4 Now Available for Download and Install with More Bug Fixes and Refinements
I get really excited with every new beta update. iOS 18.2 and iPadOS 18.2 beta 3 has been out for a week with a bunch of refinements, and now beta 4 is out with even more.
If you’ve been testing out beta 3 for a week or more at this point, it’s probably a good idea to download beta 4 immediately on your iPhone and iPad by following these steps:
Step 1. Launch the ‘Settings’ app.
Step 2. Go to General > Software Update.
Step 3. Tap on ‘Update Now’ when the new update shows up.
Though this is a developer-only release, you can test out iOS 18.2 and iPadOS 18.2 on your compatible iPhone and iPad by installing the public beta.

It’s highly likely Apple hasn’t changed too much in this release, given what beta 3 brought to the table last week. However, if there is anything new in this update, I will definitely highlight it.
According to different sources, Apple may just release the full and final version of iOS 18.2 and iPadOS 18.2 to the public on the 9th of December.
I wouldn’t completely rely on that date since we have no clue regarding Apple’s internal plans. There is a chance Apple might delay the update or maybe even release it slightly earlier.
Releasing the update sooner is only going to be in Apple’s favor since the features that come as part of the new iOS 18.2 and iPadOS 18.2 updates are huge. This includes Image Playground, Genmoji, and ChatGPT support.
The last one is particularly important as it turns the iPhone and iPad into a proper chatbot for getting help. Though I’m still skeptical about its usefulness since AI is known to hallucinate answers, let’s see how it pans out once the update goes public.
